Valley Japanese Community Center

eserve and perpetuate our Japanese American heritage and cultural experience. It is noteworthy that our Japanese Language School under the Kyodo System is one of the oldest operating institutions in the Los Angeles County. One of the first organizations formed under Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji buddhist Temple was Valley Buddhist Temple. We are proud to offer diverse classes, clubs and activities to enrich the Japanese-American culture of the community. Martial arts classes in Judo and Kendo are currently being offered. Other cultural offerings are Shigin (Japanese poetry, Tea Ceremony, Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) and Taiko. You must be a Community Center member to participate. The ever popular, Shiatsu is one service offered at a discounted rate for anyone in the community. The second Friday of each month is set aside for Community Center Cabinet meetings.
