Bon Odori practices will be on Tuesday and Friday evenings starting 6/2, 5, 9, 12 and 16 from 630PM. Please bring an Uchiwa (round fan), Tenugui (towel), Naruko or kachi kachi (castanet).

5/9/2026 our center hosted a kimono and accessories event. We had many other vendors participating as well offering their own creative and unique items for sale. An onigiri and cold udon sale was also available raising funds for our center. We need to update our buildings so we may serve our community better. Thank you to Japanology Fair and Yoshiko Kawada for coordinating everything!

It’s coming on to that time of the year! Everyone’s favorite Obon season! I will be teaching this years dances and starting Bon Odori practice 6/2, 5, 9, 12, 16 from 630PM. You will need Uchiwa (round fan), Naruko or kachi kachi, and a Tenugui (towel). I already have songs selected just for fun aside from the set playlist so come on out and practice!
