Growing, Learning & Exploring Together!

Dear Wildflowers Families,
Happy September! 🍂🌻 We are excited to welcome a new month of learning, playing, and growing together at Ms Beth’s Wildflowers!

This month, we will be learning all about OUR AMAZING BODIES! 🧒👧❤️ Through hands-on activities, songs, stories, art, and lots of play, the children will explore different parts of their bodies and discover how our bodies help us learn about the world around us.

👀👂👃👅🖐️ Our September Focus: The 5 Senses
We will be exploring:
👀 Sight — What can we see?
👂 Hearing — What sounds can we hear?
👃 Smell — What different scents can we discover?
👅 Taste — What flavors do we enjoy?
🖐️ Touch — How do different things feel?

We will also be learning about body parts such as our head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet, fingers, and toes while practicing identifying and naming them.
Our goal is to make learning fun and meaningful through interactive, age-appropriate play and exploration! 🌈

Things that go! Land, Air, and Sea for the month of May !!! Lots of fun sensory activities incorporating learning like colors, numbers, and letter recognition.

This week… we’re focusing on weather, rain and clouds (water play), mr. sun (craft) and planting seeds! (Decorating their own flower pot) 🪴

Reviewing letters: Hh, Mm, Ii
Song: rain rain go away and Mr. Sun
Books: When the storm comes and Gwendolyn’s pet garden

Gwendolyn’s Pet Garden is a great book for spring time! And one my kids love. Each spring we like to get clay pots and decorate the pots, pick out seeds to plant and watch them grow! 🤗

In Gwendolyn’s garden it mentions she got her seeds from a Seed Lending library. Go Check out your local library to see if they have a seed lending library! 📚 it’s a fun activity to do as a family and gives your child a chance to learn about gardening!

I have used Young, Wild & Friedman for years now! I love the creativity, the imagination it allows children to grow and use! Especially the quality. I bought this outer space kit for my son THREE years ago. The playdoh is still so soft!! I’m amazed! And now I use these for sensory play for my little toddlers. (Not a paid advertisement)
