This little project of mine started with a few jars of wildflowers dropped off on the doorsteps of the suddenly isolated and vulnerable during the pandemic-spreading joy and sharing smiles.

Tomatoes? Nope-- Stink bugs destroyed them. Green beans? Also, No-- they became a late night deer buffet.

The one thing I can always count in the garden is the herb bed. It makes the house smell so bright and fresh and I feel so pioneer-y stripping the leaves from the stems.

This is my favorite harvest--one that I use year round!

It's time to make more Herb Salt!
