Sullivan School District Alert Issued To Parents
Dear Families and Staff,
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has notified all schools in the county of a general threat to school safety and has recommended that schools move into a "Secure" mode for the remainder of the day while law enforcement investigates.
All buildings are currently in our Secure mode. Classes are continuing as normal, and learning remains uninterrupted.
Exterior doors remain secured, visitors are not permitted to enter or leave our buildings, and students will remain indoors, including during recess. Our schools will dismiss as normal. "Secure" mode is identified as bringing people inside the building and being aware of our surroundings. No threats to Sullivan have been identified.
The safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority. We are following the guidance of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and will continue to monitor the situation closely. As soon as law enforcement provides any changes or additional guidance, we will communicate that information with families and staff.
Thank you for your attention to this important update.
