🔧🌾 Black River FFA members, Peter Howard, Garrett Canfield, Caleb Howard, and David Bryant recently competed at the District 3 Ag Power Diagnostics CDE held at the Wayne County Career Center!

Two teams represented our chapter and put their technical skills and teamwork to the test in real-world equipment diagnostics. We’re proud to share they earned 3rd and 5th place overall in a strong field of competitors! 🏆

Thank you to Wayne County Career Center for hosting, and to Wellington Implement, KTS Equipment, and Sterling Farm Equipment for supporting our teams with practice opportunities. 👏

Can’t wait for summer camp!

This weekend, seven Black River FFA members traveled to Columbus to attend the Mission/Impact Leadership Conference, joining more than 250 Ohio FFA members from across the state. This premier leadership event challenged students to reflect on who they are as leaders and how their actions can positively impact their chapters, schools, and communities.

Our members stepped outside their comfort zones, stood out as leaders, and embraced the responsibility of making a difference. Along the way, new friendships were formed, plenty of laughs were shared, and lasting memories were created— all while proudly wearing the blue corduroy jacket.

We are proud of the growth, leadership, and dedication these students continue to show!

💙💛 Black River FFA Gives Back 💛💙

Four Black River FFA members recently volunteered their time to assist the West Salem Masonic Lodge during its annual meeting. This experience gave our students the opportunity to serve the community, build connections, and represent FFA values beyond the classroom.

We are proud of Carlee, Caleb, and Rylee for stepping up to support a local organization and for demonstrating leadership, service, and responsibility in action! 🌟

💙💛 Blue Jackets, Bright Futures! 💛💙

This fall, the Ohio FFA Foundation, in partnership with Beck’s Hybrids, helped provide official FFA jackets to first-year members through the Blue Jackets Program.

Out of 366 applications statewide, the Black River FFA Chapter is proud to announce seven members were selected! Congratulations to our 2025 Blue Jacket recipients:
