$1,000.00 annual scholarship awarded through The Garaway Education Foundation, Box 340, Sugarcreek OH 44681. We’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Beverly Keller and The Budget for designing, printing, and donating the posters, and all the Sugarcreek businesses and/or organizations for allowing us to display them for our past benefit CHICKEN BBQ's, and to D & S BBQ for doing the cooking, and Sugarcreek IGA for allowing us to sell the chicken at their store.

Meta or whatever runs this page is trying to make it into a business so I'm not sure how long it will remain as a memorial page for Danny. There wasn't much going on outside of the scholarship awards which can be posted on 'the dan' or my personal fb page. Just FYI!

An awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 at which the Daniel Lash Memorial Scholarship was awarded. We were unable to attend this year's event, and do not have a photo of the recipient to share. However, we have the award notification and an exceptional thank you letter from Tristan Miller, whom we are so pleased to add to our list of deserving graduates.
Congratulations Tristan! We wish you all the best at Liberty University and beyond!

We received the nicest thank you letter from our scholarship recipient, Natalia G Flores-Flores! We'd like to express again how pleased we are to have the opportunity through the GEF to help students on their journey after high school graduation. We extend our congratulations to Natalia and wish her much success at The Ohio State University.
Perhaps one day we will have the chance to meet and discuss our respective experiences on the A.T.
