Christian (Chris) Solum (1958-2025) left an indelible mark on every community he touched—whether he was sharing his love of gardening, assisting retirees at the SRSRA Retiree Resource Center, guiding the NMA Peach Council, or leading the Savannah River Site Leadership Association. His infectious positivity, thoughtful contributions, and deep faith will be cherished by family, friends, and colleagues alike.

A Life of Service
• SRSRA Retiree Resource Center – Christian’s unwavering commitment to helping retirees defined his daily work. He listened, advocated, and ensured that every retiree felt respected and supported.

• NMA Peach Council – As Secretary and Treasurer, he was the council’s steady hand, guiding finances and governance with precision. His most lasting legacy there is the addition of the IRS 990 checklist to the CAR 1 and CAR2 reports, a vital tool that has improved compliance for chapters and councils.

• Savannah River Site Leadership Association – Christian served as President, championing collaborative leadership and fostering a culture of accountability across the site.

Professional Excellence
• Director Longleaf Pointe Homeowner’s Association, Inc. 2020 –2025
• Team Lead Manager / Regulatory Compliance Specialist Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (formerly Westinghouse Savannah River Co.) 1992 – 2019

His career spanned more than three decades, marked by a relentless focus on problem solving, customer service, and clear communication.

Faith & Family
Chris’ deep faith was the wellspring of his peace. It brought comfort not only to him but also to the family and friends who found solace in his steadfast belief. He lived the principle that “accountability is a cornerstone of America,” embodying responsibility, the rule of law, and a commitment to the common good.

We honor Chris for his:
• Positive attitude that lifted every room he entered.
• Thoughtful contributions that left lasting improvements in governance and retiree support.
• Dedication to service—whether at a council boardroom, a retirement center, or a homeowner’s association.
• Deep faith, which guided his life and offered peace to those he loved.

May his legacy inspire us to serve with the same humility, rigor, and compassion that he exemplified every day.

The Peach Council respectfully dedicates this tribute to Chris’s memory, celebrating a life well lived and a spirit that will continue to guide us.
