Spring has sprung in the mountains and this weekend is looking like the perfect time to come up to Suches and run or walk the roads!
Thank you, thank you for supporting our non-profit. This non-profit is made up solely of volunteers and we've worked hard to provide a great race! We are beyond thankful for all of our sponsors who provide scholarships to students of Woody Gap and for you all who come out and participate!
I just wanted to send out a bit of info for the race.
Bib and shirt pickup:
Beginning at 7:30am Saturday. We'll be in the community center, Firewater Lane, Suches, GA 30572
The 10k and 5k will begin at 9 and the 1 mile fun run will start shortly after 9.
Parking:
We've got parking at the community center as well as across the street at the school.
Bathrooms
We've got bathrooms at the community center.
Water & snacks
We'll have a water station at the 5k turnaround point, the 10k turnaround, and at the finish line. There will also be apples and bananas up at the community center after the race.
T-shirts
If you registered prior to March 31st your shirt will be available for pickup at check-in. If you registered after that date, no worries, we most likely got you! We ordered some extras.
Timing
It's handled by the pros at Fast Race Services, this will be their 3rd year timing for us and we love it. Chip timing.
Door Prizes and raffle
Don't forget, after the race while we give out awards we also give out some awesome local items!

Weather
It's looking beyond awesome up here this weekend! Warmest temps yet and lots of sunshine and fresh mountain air.
We'd love for you to spend the day in Suches and stop by and support one of our local businesses in the area. We've got Two Wheels of Suches, Coopers Creek Store, and Suches Life store. If you need any suggestions of hiking trails or spots to check out just ask one of our volunteers. We love our community and are happy to share some of our favs!
And if you haven't registered or you have friends who want to join you, registration is still open until 8pm tonight and we morning of registration until 8:30am (but we encourage you to register ASAP).
