📢 FFA MEETING — AUGUST 31ST!

We’re getting ready for a great year with Strawn FFA! Join us on August 31st at 6:30 PM to get signed up and get involved!

This meeting is MANDATORY for students planning to:
🔧 Participate in Ag Mechanics contests
🐂 Participate in Livestock contests
⭐ Run for an FFA Officer position

We’ll also be signing up FFA members at the meeting. FFA dues are $25 per person.

Whether you want to compete, lead, or just be more involved, we’d love to have you!

If you are interested in showing a lamb or goat, tag orders are due to Mr. Keifer by August 21st.

Tag Fee: $25

Join us in welcoming Payton Keifer to Strawn ISD! 🐾

Mr. Keifer will be joining Strawn ISD as our new Ag Sciences Teacher & FFA Advisor! 🌾🐐🐖

After graduating from Tarleton with a degree in Agricultural Services & Development, Mr. Kiefer served as a County Extension Agent in Pecos and Crane Counties. While in this role, he worked with youth in agriculture, assisting 4-H and FFA members with livestock projects, coaching judging teams, coordinating educational programs, and helping exhibitors prepare for and compete at local, county, and Major state livestock shows.

“What excites me most about joining Strawn ISD is the opportunity to become part of a close-knit community with a strong agricultural tradition. I look forward to building relationships with students and families while helping students grow through leadership development, FFA competitions, and agricultural and livestock projects.”

Strawn FFA students are all set up and ready for the San Antonio Ag Mech Show tomorrow!

Day 1 of the San Angelo Ag Mech Show was a huge success! We have 7 Blue Ribbons and 1 Red ribbon! These kids did an amazing job embracing the challenge of learning new skills and standing proudly to demonstrate the work they did to judges and people interested in their work. Tomorrow we will have the awards show and see how they were placed! 🏅
