Today our littles got to play with some construction vehicles, as we were learning about our construction community helpers. We had a fun Family-style Friday lunch. We also created our own neighborhoods and communities out of the houses we made. So much fun learning about our communities and the helpers who make them great! More next week, including an animal helper, after our extra-long weekend!

If you know any little friends who would like to join in our fun, we do have a few spots still open; just contact Miss Amber.

Big Thank you toStrausstown Volunteer Fire Co. who stopped by Gentle Rain this week. Students were able to see the different trucks, interact with the firefighters, and learn about how they help in our community. Fire Fighter Jeff even read our students a story. We are so glad we were able to have hands-on learning about our community helpers.

This week we started learning about our many community helpers. We were blessed with a visit from Matt Fogarty of Bethel Township Police Department, Berks County. He let our students see his car, learn about what he does, and he read them a wonderful story. We are so grateful to Officer Matt for coming to visit us at Gentle Rain
