Just FYI...there are some amazing exhibits at the MFA in Boston that are worthy of taking a trip to see. One is of Robert McCloskey's illustrations from his well known books, Make Way for Ducklings and Blueberries for Sal (among others). The other is the HOMIEs exhibit which features artwork from students of the Greater Boston area who represented what their impression of "Home" was. Their personal stories and artwork were not only amazing and heartfelt, but extremely powerful! The other exhibit I would recommend is called Making Modern and it features masterpieces from Georgia O'Keeffe, Arthur Dove, Frida Kahlo, Charles Sheeler, Marsden Hartley, Jackson Po***ck, and Stuart Davis.

Don't forget to VOTE this Tuesday, March 10 in favor of the SAU16 School Budget…this is the final event of getting the 40% art teaching position for 6th grade this coming fall!

02/06/2015

One more thing…I just want to apologize for any confusion last night at the meeting when we voted for the overall budget, which INCLUDED the art position. I was under the impression that the art position was its own article to vote on. Sorry! Still was fantastic we had so many people there to support, just in case. We were told that was critical!!

HURRAY, HURRAY!! The budget, which includes the 6th grade art position for next fall, passed through the Deliberative Session tonight!! A very special thank you to all of you who came out on this freezing night to vote and all of those who couldn't be there, but were there in spirit and support along the way! Couldn't have done this without all of you!!

I just received a response from Superintendent Morgan and the meeting WILL BE HELD! See you there.

Ok…so we really need people there tomorrow at EHS at 7:00! The 40% art position is the 1st item on the agenda and everyone there is actually voting!! Please come to support this!! Thank you in advance and spread the word...
