Energy is contagious! "Alima" means "those who are skilled in music and dance" in Arabic. Alima also prides itself in modern hip-hop and lyrical routines.
We proudly wear the colors are red and black representing strength and power. While Alima started out portraying predominately African style dances, we now stand for regions from around the globe including Haiti, Senegal, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and much more. We loved seeing you all on Thursday! If you missed us the first time, our second dance practice is 9/8 from 3:30-5:30 PM in the Shippee Pequot Room!
We will relearn the same dance as on Thursday, so don’t worry about being behind!

The address for Shippee Hall is 1288 Storrs Road. It is next to Storrs center and across from mirror lake. The Pequot room is on the left of the front of the building, if you are facing Shippee. If you live far away, the yellow and orange line will bring you to Shippee. The silver line brings you to Storrs center, which is just a short walk! Pls DM us if you have any questions :)
