Do you need help with writing your personal statement or supplementals? Need an outside perspective from a tutor beyond your state and/or region? Join us at the College Essay Peer Review Workshop on October 22nd at 7:00 PM EST! Each attendee will be paired with another tutor; you’ll switch between reading your own work, receiving suggestions, and then offering such aid to your partner. You’ll have the opportunity to tutor while also serving as the tutee of a fellow senior!

Join board members of the Secondary School Writing Center Association for a virtual Fall Directors Meetup designed to connect writing center directors as the new school year gets underway.

This informal digital roundtable will provide an open forum to share ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from colleagues. Together, we’ll brainstorm strategies for strengthening our writing center communities.

Come with questions, ideas, or simply a desire to connect and leave with fresh perspectives and practical inspiration for the year ahead!

We invite you to consider the many ideas captured in this year’s conference theme: The Space to Play
Outside the Box.

What spaces does our writing exist in? (What spaces can it exist in?) What spaces do
we create for ourselves and others? How are these spaces ones where we have freedom to engage in
play? And how can that play involve ideas that are out of the box?

Our peer centers and writing spaces
have long been hubs for exploring and revealing the possibilities within our schools.

Let’s celebrate that innovation and seek out new frontiers, sharing our collective wisdom, connective passion, and curiosity-driven ideas.
