My favorite part of homeschooling is all of the possibilities for the day. After schoolwork and science, we walked to the splash pad, where we found friends we knew and had the best time playing! 🌼

After dinner, we grabbed our flashlights and went on a bug hunt, where we found spiders and rolly pollies. Then, we stopped at the little free library, finding a book that was too awesome to pass by, and sat to read before heading home. 🪲

Play may look simple from the outside, but so much learning is happening underneath. 🌈

While children build, imagine, move and explore, they are also developing language, coordination, confidence, creativity, problem-solving and social skills.

Play is not a break from learning. For young children, play is how learning begins.

Teaching kids to embrace every kind of weather is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Learning the fun of a rainy day helps kids grow resilient, adaptable, and open to finding beauty anywhere!

Who would want to stay indoors when there are puddles to jump in, mud to squelch, and wind to blow our bad moods away?
