Have you ever sat there looking at your bank account asking yourself “Man where did all my money go?!” I have. I have done it so many times, before I decided to make a change in my life. Now is your time! We need to REALLY find out where your money is going, because let's be real. No one is siphoning the money out of your account. Someone is telling that money where to go. And that someone is YOU!

First thing to do is to track your spending. And no I’m not talking about going around with a pen and paper and writing down everything you buy. I mean you can if you want to if that works for you, but let's be real people. It’s 2021 and technology has come a long way, so let's use it! One of the apps I like using to track my spending is Mint! It is a nifty little app where you can add all of your bank accounts and credit cards so you can see all of the purchases you have made! The great thing is it is all updated automatically. It even categorizes them for you. (or tries to anyway, not always 100% accurate) This allows you to see how much you’re spending and it what areas.

Now that you know where your money is going, you need to ask yourself “Is this really where I want my money to go?” It is at this time where you need to prioritize your spending. You committed to making a change in your life. This is where you need to commit your money to what you say you want. Again you need to remember these are slow changes that you are making over time, to make a big change in your life. You aren’t going to get it right the first time. You may cut out eating out completely and realize for your mental health you need to get out at least one a week. And that is okay! But just know somewhere else in your budget needs to be cut back. It's take and give. Everyone is different and everyone will have different priorities for their money. We shouldn’t judge each other for that either. 

Now that you’ve tracked your spending is there anything that has shocked you? Now that you know where your money is going, you can make the changes necessary to direct your money where you want it to go! If anyone wants help with this please message me! I’d be happy to help!

So what is the first step to getting my finances in order?

This is my first post, in a series that will help those that want to get their finances in order and they just don’t know where to begin. Now this one might not be an obvious first step, and most people will miss this one. But in order for you to improve your relationship with your money, you need to change the way you think about money. What do I mean by that? Let's dive in!

You must have the right mindset, before you can begin to take control of your money. I want you to think about what your goals are with money? Why do you want to get your money under control? What is your true purpose? This is your why. Is it to put your family in a better financial position just so you don’t have to worry about it? Is it to become financially independent and retire early? Is it to become the first in your family to break the cycle of poverty and live a life that you never had growing up? Whatever the case may be you need to identify why you are taking this journey. Once you identify this, it will help keep you on the path. Remember your why. When you feel you are starting to stray from the path, remember your why. If your why is strong enough, it will bring you back to the path every time.

Let me tell you how I view money.  I view money as a tool. Money is the tool that will allow me to live the life I want to live. Money is the tool that can buy you freedom. Freedom from working a job you hate. Freedom to live life on your own schedule. Freedom to live my life, on my terms, and the decisions I make in my life are not solely dependent on how much money I have in my bank account. This my friends, is my why. And its why I am so passionate to share my knowledge with you all, and I hope you share it with someone else. Because we all deserve to live our lives on our terms. 

In a course and I held a while back, I remember we asked the group, If money wasn’t an issue, tell me what a perfect day would look like? What would your perfect day be? Think about it. Get your mind right, and if you feel like sharing let us know in the comments! Let's goooooo!!!!!

My next series of posts will be for my people looking to get their finances in order, but may just need a little motivation to get started, or just may not know where to begin, or maybe a little bit of both!

This post is to get you thinking. Before we take a deep dive down the personal finance rabbit hole, I want you to really think about what I’m going to say here. If you are someone who has struggled with money your whole life, whether that be there is more month left at the end of your money, or you know earn a decent wage, yet you have nothing to show for it, whatever your situation is....I want you to imagine what your financially stable life looks like? Imagine a life where money wasn’t your main concern. Imagine not having to check your bank account before going into the grocery store to save yourself the embarrassment of getting your card declined. Imagine something goes wrong with your car and not having to worry about missing time from work because you can’t afford the repairs. Imagine what it would be like to have no fear of having your credit ran, so you can be approved for whatever it is you’re trying to finance. 
Imagine having more money than you’ve ever had in your savings account, and knowing you will be able to handle almost anything life throws your way?

This is easy for me to imagine, because I was that person. I was the worst with my money. But I didn’t make the change overnight. And I don’t expect you to change overnight either. But what I do expect once you decide to commit to yourself, is small changes in your habits over time that will equate to BIG changes in your life later on. And I will be here with you every step of the way. Start today. Commit to your future self today. Your future self will thank you. Now let's get started!!

There may be another transfer of wealth coming soon. As the future of the global economy is unknown, we need to be ready for the worst.

As I've been educating my self over years about real estate investing I've always heard of all these successful people that almost all had one thing in common...they started at or near the 2009 crash when real estate was dirt cheap!

I always told myself "Man if I could have started back then I'd have a fat portfolio right now!" Well that time may be among us soon. Now I do not believe it's going to be anything like what happened in 2009 but if there is even a slight decline and more deals start to pop up, then I will be ready to pull the trigger and jump in and take advantage of the opportunity that I said I wish I had.

Honestly I hope we can get back to normal life soon and the economy picks back up, but just incase it goes the other way we need to ready. If you've been thinking about jumping into real estate you better be sharpening your ax. For the time to strike may be soon!!

Guess who just got stimulated by good ole Uncle Sam?! This guy!

I know we are going through a rough time in the world, and the most important thing is that we are all taking care of each other and our health!!

Now with the Stimulus Checks being rolled out finally, hopefully they will be able to help some people in need. Now my plans for my check are a little different! Hear me out!

Usually I would tell you to invest your new found money since stocks are on sale in an index fund, or save it if you need to establish an emergency fund. But I've decided to do something I would normally never do, and turn it into a friendly competition for anyone who wants to join!!

I have just opened a new brokerage account with and deposit 1,000 dollars and will try and day trade my way to being a millionaire!!
Kidding about the millionaire part, but I will be trying to grow my account as much as I can by a certain date, and anyone who wants to join in on the challenge is more than welcome to participate! Let me know if you're interested! We can work out the details!

Yo! I have just joined the quarantine! By choice I might add. My company temporarily closed my office in San Francisco due to lack of business, but we are still open at other locations. I was asked if I wanted to work at our other locations since I have seniority and I declined. I don't know some of my co-workers financial situations but I have my emergency fund to help me weather the storm, and maybe some of them cant afford to be off work.


Now I don't say that to boast, but the point is millions of people are being affected by the pandemic going on world wide. People are losing their jobs, and left scrambling to make ends meet. If I was a betting man, I'd say a lot more people will be looking into how to take control of their money and make better financial decisions. And if you need help with that, I'd be happy to help!


I've also been planning my days so I continue to have structure throughout my day to make sure the days dont go by wasted. Every morning I spend 30 minutes on my spanish, before I dive into my other activities for the day which include analyzing real estate properties, exercise, reading, and the most important making lunch!

You've probably heard the phrase "Learners are earners" or "Readers are leaders" Well it's because they are true!


The more you learn, the more you have potential to earn a larger income. That goes not just in business, but can be applied to many different areas of life. I tell the kids I coach that learners are earners! Why? Because if you LEARN the plays and you know you're responsibilities out on the field you will EARN more playing time!


Take your job for example? Put yourself in the shoes of the owner or manager of this business. Who would you pay more? The person who knows 50 percent of the job and can only perform 50 percent but is still learning, or some one who knows the job inside and out and is going above and beyond to learn not just their job, but the jobs of others to have a better understanding of how the business works overall? You probably guessed it, the person who knows and is doing more!!


Take away is, you must continue to educate yourself and take the TIME to learn and grow, if you yourself want to grow and earn. The more you learn the more aware you may be of opportunities that may come your way. I have a little story for that one, but I'll save it for another post when it comes to fruition! 😁

We did it! Our first class is in the books!! After months of preperation and I pulled it off! Although the class was primarily friends and family I enjoyed presenting to all of you!


This is just the beginning for us. If you missed this one, no worries there will be another! And another!

Being in a position to inspire and mold the youth is a powerful position.


Today we had our coaches clinic to get ready for our 2019 Youth Football season! For those of you who don't know I coach youth varsity football ages 12-13. This will be my third year and I'm just as excited as if it was my first! .

To anyone who is in a position that teaches or coaches youth I applaud you! 👏🙌 You have the ability to give a kid the motivation to accomplish something they never thought possible. You are the one to teach them that hard work pays. You are the one who can inspire them to never give up, no matter how tall the task. You have the power to show them what teamwork can accomplish, instead of just acting in the best interest of themselves. You can be that positive role model, that may be absent in there lives. Sometimes the impact you have on the youth may go unnoticed, but to that kid, although they may never tell you, you've changed their lives for the better. They are stronger, smarter, confident, and they believe in themselves when no one else did.


Teachers and coaches, keep doing your thing. I know you will because the ones who love it keep coming back for more! Keep investing your time into the youth because they are the future. Mold them to be the outstanding citizens in a world you want to live in. So they are kind, and compassionate, yet hardworking and strong.


This is why I coach. If you've always thought about coaching I'd ask you to stop thinking about it, and go do it. If you have a love for a sport, and you want to not just teach the game to the kids, but to be an inspiration to them, you need to go coach now! We need people like you out there! So stop thinking and start doing! It will be one of the best decisions you've ever made.

Getting out of your comfort zone is tough.


I know this because it's TRUE for me as well! I have been a member of for a while and I have always loved listening to their real estate and money podcasts. I know they have local meet ups in my area from time to time and although I've always wanted to attend, I admit I was afraid to go. I'm not sure why I was uncomfortable thinking about going. I mean it's a place filled with people just like me, who are interested in real estate investing! Not only that there are actual people you can talk to that are actual investors!!! Why wouldn't I go? I think I didn't want to go due to fear, or intimidation but I can tell you I'm glad I went!


Got to listen to tell us about his new book "BRRR" and answered a ton of great questions from the crowd. I told him I just got pre-qualified for a VA home loan and my strategy to get started in real estate. He was kind enough to tell me to shoot him a DM and he would hook me up with a great real estate agent that could help me out!! Right on!


Moral of the story, get out there and get uncomfortable. You never know who you will meet, or what opportunities you will find. Surround yourself with people who push you to be uncomfortable.
