Our Class of 2026 is ready to bring their Brookside education and experiences to high school, where they will make new friends and special memories. At last night's 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, our teachers gave special awards to students who led by example while showing improvement and excellence in their classes. To close out the night, Principal Rebecca Mullen handed out promotion certificates to all the 8th Graders who have made this campus a better place during their time here.
We look forward to seeing what these Bobcats will accomplish in the years ahead!

Brookside prepares students to become committed, capable musicians through school concerts. In addition to our strings and choir concerts last week, the beginning, intermediate and advanced band classes played a variety of memorable instrumental tunes for families at their spring performance.
As part of a district that was recently named one of 2026's Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation, we look forward to seeing our talented, determined student musicians continue to improve in the years ahead!

Our campus monitors greet students with smiles while making sure everyone feels safe and welcome each day. Bobcats are always happy to see these essential classified employees during recess and pick-up or drop-off time.
We'd like to thank our campus monitors for all they do to help make Brookside such a special place!

Classified employees keep our school neat, tidy and safe for all Bobcats. Maintenance and grounds workers like Pov Va and Jorge Vazquez Calva are responsible for addressing a variety of concerns on our campus, such as fixing leaks on our roofs and trimming the bushes outside our front office. We want to thank them for all their help in making Brookside the best it can be!

The SteepleChase math competition is a yearly opportunity for students to show their teamwork and STEM expertise. This year, Brookside was one of 13 San Joaquin County schools taking part in this event at University of the Pacific, where around 1,000 students in the 5th Grade completed math activities requiring quick thinking and coordination. Brookside took home 3rd Place this year!

Our students are becoming thorough researchers as they work on their Animal Reports! 2nd Graders recently chose animals to study from one of five habitats, including a desert, ocean or rainforest. After selecting their animal, each student began searching for key facts about their subject by using Kiddle, National Geographic Kids and books from the Brookside library.
Today, Ms. Conner's and Mrs. Miner's classes brought their favorite stuffed animals to school for their ABC End of Year Countdown while continuing their research.

Past, present and future Bobcats joined us for joyous activities from around the world at Multicultural Night. Last Friday, current and returning Brookside students wore outfits representing their culture while sharing art, dance, food and fun facts about their countries of choice. We'd like to thank all the supportive families who helped us celebrate the diversity of our community!

Throughout the month of March, Brookside students get hands-on opportunities to learn about the many jobs they can pursue after graduating high school. Following our recent Career Fair, 6th Graders dressed up to present a wide variety of jobs to their fellow Bobcats at the Wax Museum today. For this assignment, students researched what academic and professional achievements are required for their career path, how much the position earns, and how they can help their community through the job.
