Natures beauty Wild Dagga is what we call it in Eswatini 🇸🇿 and lions ear here in the Americas. This plant is such a medicinal powerhouse and is wonderful for respiratory health, skin issues, calming the nervous system and so much more.

Starting a garden in our front yard has opened up so many opportunities for conversation and exchange amongst neighbors.

We hope it encourages others to do the same as there is so much land waiting to be cultivated instead of used simply for cutting grass.

Special thanks to Owen and our lovely friends at Truelove Seeds for welcoming us with open arms for this years 72 Hour Permaculture Design course student field trip.

Seed saving is truly a sacred art and essential to permaculture and sustainably. Truelove Seeds is truly committed to saving cultural seeds from all over the world. This ensures food sovereignty and preservation of cultural seeds and foods.

During this trip we learned about the sacred Palestinian plant mulkhlya and other ancestral seeds from all over the world including the Italian fava bean. Truly in awe of the amazing work of Truelove Seeds and your continued support of us. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

We had the privilege of catching up with Juliza Garcia cohort 2 to learn more about all of her community offerings in partnership with Heart Of Vailsburg (HOV) garden located in Newark, Nj.

Today marks the beginning of our Resurrection Food Spray trial, a step toward developing innovative, plant-based solutions that support crop health, sustainability, and food security.

We’re excited to learn, grow, and share this journey with our community. Follow along as we document the results!

Ubuntu I am because we are. The biggest part of our mission is connecting with our community, caring for people, the earth and being responsible land stewards. This looks like centering black joy and creating space and opportunities for us to get back to the land.
