SJHS Special Olympics

Our cheer team made the front cover of the Stillwater News Press this week! Thank you Jennifer Jalbert for covering our team this school year and writing about them💙💛

We had a fun day at the Summer Games yesterday (5/15) for Bocce. Many of our students competed and won medals in their brackets! They enjoyed the Olympic Village before competing. Thank you to the Stillwater Junior High School for sending off our kiddos before they left to compete!

The Stillwater Special Olympics cheer team had their final competition today (5/16) at the Summer Games. Our team placed second and earned silver medals!! We are so so proud of this team and how far they have come this year.

Thank you Miss OSU, Jaselyn Rossman for coming to our practice today to talk to our team about goal setting and growth! She also taught our girls some OSU fight songs!

Great news - We are now selling cheer shirts! Please order by April 27th if you would like one, so we can have them handed out by the end of the school year.

This Friday will be a Hat Day at the Stillwater Junior High School for $1. All proceeds go to supporting our Special Olympic athletes by allowing us to purchase more uniforms, afford travel, as well as purchase equipment.

Congratulations to our Stillwater Special Olympics Cheer Squad for coming in 2nd place at their competition at the end of February in Broken Arrow. They qualified to compete in the State Summer Games here in Stillwater! We are so proud of our team and how hard they have worked to get here💙💛
