UWSP Lemon Club

The Lemon Club will be working alongside Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. ALSF was created by Alexandra Scott, who was diagnosed with pediatric cancer just before her first birthday. She told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in their font yard to

give the money to doctors to help them find a cure, what she was doing spread all over the country. When Alex was eight years old, she passed away after raising more than $1 million towards finding a cure. Her parents started the foundation a year later and since then the foundation has raised over $200 million dollars towards research and supporting families affected.

As the school year ends, we want to take a moment to thank all our members for their hard work and to all of those who have supported our cause. This year UWSP Lemon Club raised a grand total of $3,000 to go towards our hero Emmett and his family! It has been such an honor to work with the Heindels, and we are grateful to have contributed to this incredible process of strength, hope, and healing. UWSP Lemon Club hosted our first blood drive today through Versiti on campus! We had a 35 donors and had 10 amazing volunteers. We also made cards to donate to local childhood cancer patients. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers & donors! .lemonclub.curing.cancer
