Hello Lovey's! Last night’s School Committee meeting moved forward without public comment — which left many families with unanswered questions heading into tonight’s SEPAC election.

As many of you know, the prior SEPAC leadership team recently resigned. Now, families are being asked to elect new members into these roles — quickly — and many parents have shared concerns about whether incoming candidates will have the experience, training, or transition support needed to effectively advocate for students.

SEPAC plays a critical role in ensuring family voice, collaboration, and accountability in Special Education. Leadership continuity and informed advocacy matter — especially during times of change.

If you are able, please consider attending tonight’s SEPAC meeting to stay informed about the process and the future direction of family representation in our district.

Our students deserve thoughtful, supported leadership — and our community deserves transparency along the way.

As always, we encourage families to gather information from a variety of sources and remain engaged in the process.

Yesterday, more than 6,000 people in our community viewed Episode 1 of The Subset Diaries: Spill the IEP Tea ☕

This series is simply about creating space for informed, respectful community dialogue by sharing themes that families themselves have raised during public comment — so we can all stay a little more informed, a little more connected, and a little less alone in the process.
