First Methodist Church Sterling City Pre-School First Methodist Church Sterling City Preschool serves children ages 2 years through Pre-Kindergarten.

We are committed to providing the very best for each child in a Christian-based environment. We are aware of the supportive role we play in the development and nurturing of your child's positive self-esteem, and to facilitate our role, we plan activities that allow each child to experience successes. These activities include singing, art, free-time/play-time, reading/story-time, chapel, nap-time,

and center-time. Our teacher(s) also work with the children on a wide range of readiness skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet sounds, and recognition.

Today, Blueberry and his friends had so much fun playing a game where they had to describe each other. They talked about what makes each friend special and unique! 🥰

Then Pastor Derrick had us do something extra special. He asked the children to describe what they thought Jesus looked like while he drew a picture based on their descriptions. 🎨✏️

The answers were absolutely precious! Some friends said Jesus had pink eyebrows , blue mustache and so many other sweet details. 💕 Their little imaginations made us smile!

Pastor Derrick reminded us that even though we can’t see Jesus, He can always hear us. He is with us, a part of our lives, and He lives in our hearts. ❤️✝️

And one of the most beautiful ways others can see Jesus in us is through the way we treat one another by being kind, loving, helpful, and caring. 🥰

Today we learned that we may not be able to see Jesus with our eyes, but we can feel His love in our hearts and show His love through our actions.

🌿✨ Wild About Kids Training 2026! ✨🌿

Today our staff got to attend Wild About Kids Training in San Angelo, and we had SO much fun! 💚 We learned a lot, laughed a lot more, and even brought home some pretty cool things to use with our kiddos! 🥰

📚✨ We’re also pretty proud that we won 2nd place in the sensory book challenge! We made our book completely from scraps and called it “Sensory Magic!” 🪄📖

🎉 And we had 2 lucky winners out of 150 educators who attended! Congratulations to Ms. Cassie and Mrs. Laura, who each won a gift card in the drawings! 🎁💳 Talk about a lucky day! 🍀✨

Some of the games got a little crazy 😂, but as they say, teamwork makes the dream work! 💪🏼❤️ I mean… we ARE the DREAM TEAM! 🙌🏼✨

We’re heading back to FMC Preschool fueled with new ideas, new activities, and new tools—and we can’t wait to put them to use with our kiddos! 🧡

Today at Chapel with Pastor Derrick, we learned that together we are stronger! 💪❤️

Just like all the pieces in a Jenga game work together to build something strong, God created each of us to be an important piece of His plan. 🧩✨

We had so much fun celebrating our staff and getting ready for another wonderful year! From Fiesta day 🌮Hawaiian Day 🌺 to Lemonade Day 🍋 and ending the week with our Meet the Teacher! 🎉 it was a week full of laughter, fun, and sweet memories!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to see us today! 💕 It was so wonderful getting to meet our new families and reconnect with our returning families. We are so excited for another amazing year at FMC Preschool! 🥰

We are so happy to be back! Our staff is in full swing getting everything ready for an amazing preschool year. We can’t wait to welcome our sweet kiddos back into the classroom!

This week we’re also taking a little time to strengthen our team with some fun dress-up days and bonding activities. 💛

What better way to kick off the week than with Pajamas & Donuts? 🍩🩷 A little laughter, fellowship, and sugar is the perfect recipe for a great start!
