Each spring, every Montessori student colors a fabric quilt square. Our magical art teacher, the one & only Laura Tamucci, saves each one year after year with a beautiful plan in mind: when students reach 5th grade, they sew their squares together into a keepsake quilt during Art Class. ✨

This year, sixteen 5th grade students completed their very own Art Class quilts — stitched together with years of memories, creativity, and Montessori magic. 🪡💛

Today, Steamboat Montessori celebrated 16 incredible 5th grade graduates! 💛

We have watched these students grow in curiosity, confidence, kindness and independence. It has been such a joy to watch them grow through the years!

🌺🎭 Moana The Musical took center stage today Steamboat Montessori! 🎭🌊

From our youngest preschool performers to our 5th grade leaders, the stage came alive with creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
Our students brought courage, heart, and a whole lot of Moana magic to the stage. 🌊✨

🇺🇸 From March 23–27, eight Steamboat Montessori 5th grade students traveled to Washington, D.C. on a chaperoned trip with EF Explore America 🇺🇸

From exploring the National Mall and Smithsonian museums to visiting Arlington National Cemetery and the U.S. Capitol, our students experienced history in a powerful, hands-on way.

We are SO proud of how our students approached each experience with grace and curiosity, embodying an intrinsic love of learning!

Yesterday our Upper Elementary students took a road trip to the State Capitol and the History Colorado Museum! 🏛️

They had the incredible opportunity to meet Senator Dylan Roberts and Representative Meghan Lukens, observe a bill in debate, and witness a work session where a bill was passed.

We are so proud of how our young learners represented our community—with respect, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement!
