The St. Louis B.L. Moor Picnic in 2005. It was a successful and unforgettable occasion that spearheaded the Education Association of East Oktibbeha County School establishment beginning in September 2003 fully incorporated!

Students learned and experience cultural art activities of various age groups referencing Juneteenth foods .
The Juneteenth 2026/Pleasant Grove Community recently celebrated the recognition B.L. Moor High School's designation as a historic landmark by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. The association extends sincere appreciation and gratitude to groups, organizations, and individuals, responsible in the success of an unforgettable occasion: The Host Committeemen, the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church family, representation of 55 classes, the RURAL Study (Dr. Ervin Fox, Principal Investigator), the Golden Triangle Red Cross, the Women in Christ Ministry) Dr. Sandra Gillespie), Oktibbeha County Supervisors, the Pleasant Grove Chapel Hill Water Association, Chris Floyd-Documentary Producer, retired Art Professor of Mississippi Valley State University, Ms Dorothy Vaughn, and the remarkably talented entertainers Torey Brown (DJ), and Octavia Johnson (Saxophonist).
