School board general elections for a 6 year term in Bogue Chitto ED-3 and West Lincoln ED-4 are coming up November 3rd. This will place Lincoln County school board elections back on the right schedule for all seats.

This was copied from the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office: § 37-5-9. The name of any qualified elector who is a candidate for the county board of education shall be placed on the ballot used in the general elections by the county election commissioners, provided that the candidate files with the county election commissioners, not more than ninety (90) days and not less than sixty (60) days prior to the date of such general election, a petition of nomination signed by not less than fifty (50) qualified electors of the county residing within each supervisors district. Where there are less than one hundred (100) qualified electors in said supervisors district, it shall only be required that said petition of nomination be signed by at least twenty percent (20%) of the qualified electors of such supervisors district. The candidate in each supervisors district who receives the majority of votes cast in the district shall be declared elected. If no candidate receives a majority of the votes cast at the election, a runoff shall be held between the two (2) candidates receiving the highest number of votes in the first election. The runoff election, in the event that such is necessary, shall be held three (3) weeks after the first election.

She comes to us from Rawls Springs Attendance Center in Forrest County, where she moved the school from an F rating to B rating in one year. Robin Case has NO authority over the hiring of ANY principal. The Lincoln County School Board does not appreciate Robin Case attempting to start a protest. Please STOP your harassing phone calls with teachers! Robin Case should go away and make CTE great again!

PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR THE NEXT LINCOLN COUNTY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT. BUSINESS OWNERS, PARENTS, COMMUNITY CONSTITUENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
The Lincoln County School District Board is seeking feedback from all stakeholders in the search for the first appointed superintendent. Therefore, the board's search consultant, the Mississippi School Boards Association (MSBA), will facilitate three stakeholder meetings on August 15, 2019. The purpose of the meetings is to gather input from specific groups regarding the qualifications and characteristics which the successful applicant for superintendent should possess and to suggest priorities for the district.
MSBA consultants will meet with three groups to solicit feedback: 1) principals and district office administrators; 2) teachers and all other staff members; 3) parents, business owners, and other community stakeholders.
The feedback from these meetings is compiled into a written report and provided to the school board members who will use the information to craft interview questions for the applicants whom they choose to interview and as a foundation in making the decision as to who will be appointed as the new superintendent.
The schedule for the August 15 stakeholder meetings is as follows:
2:00 p.m. - Principals and district office administrators will meet at the Lincoln County Central Office
4:00 p.m. - Teachers and all other staff will meet at the Civic Center in Brookhaven
6:00 p.m. - Parents, business, and community stakeholders will meet at the Civic Center in Brookhaven.
For those unable to attend the meetings, an online survey will also be available on the MSBA website for two weeks following the face-to-face stakeholder meetings.

BOGUE CHITTO SCHOOL BOARD SPECIAL ELECTION COMING IN NOVEMBER 2019. CHECK YOUR RESIDENCY BEFORE QUALIFYING!
Lincoln County residents in Educational District 3 will go to the polls in November of 2019 to choose the next school board representative for their district. Currently, Mr. Brian Magee holds the spot as an appointed member since the post was vacated by a resignation last summer.

This illegal school board plan created by the school board's attorney was stopped by Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood's office. Because of this, including other issues, Lincoln County soon saw a flip of the school board with 4 new school board members taking office by January 2019. One member resigned, another decided not to run again, and two other board members were ousted.
According to the Lincoln County School District site, referring to the school board election, it says "LINCOLN COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION Position #3. Qualifying period is August 7, 2019 through September 6, 2019 @ 5PM. The Special Election date is the General Election day, November 5, 2019, and will serve until the current term ends." Our records show "Position 3" is Bogue Chitto.
Not only were Bogue Chitto residents subjected to election lies over the past few years, constituents also had their school board member lines redrawn without ever being notified about it. This radical and detrimental shift of board member lines was intentionally done in 2012 to keep potential candidates qualifying and running for school board election in the Educational District 1 Enterprise region. The Bogue Chitto school board member line now invades the Enterprise school district and reaches 12 miles away to County Farm Road in central Lincoln County. Those who live 50 feet from the steps of Enterprise Attendance Center will get to vote in this election. That's horrible! If the Mississippi Secretary of State's office and Lincoln County Circuit Clerk's office goes by the legal election rotation for the Lincoln County School Board, a special election will take place in November of this year, followed by a general election in November 2020 to begin a full six-year term for Bogue Chitto School Board Educational District 3.

"I WILL BE THE NEXT SUPERINTENDENT AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME."
Those were the uttered words of a current school principal who is politicking to become an appointed superintendent in January 2020 when the office switches from elected to appointed as required by state law.
Immediately following the November 6, 2018 school board election, Loyd Star principal Robin Case received a text message saying "...it's time for Plan B." Afterwards, she placed a telephone call to the person who sent the message. This is according to someone familiar with the situation.
Considering the scheming plan of appointing school board members was stopped by Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood, those involved in the collusion have resulted to Plan B, which is to manipulate the public by gaining favoritism and lying, such as lying about school board elections.
How does one gain favoritism? Promising jobs and monetary contracts to supporters, promising more money diverted to particular projects, promising to build a consolidated agriculture farm & animal school, promising higher test scores, the list goes on. As you should know, promising jobs and monetary contracts is illegal. Shad White and his team of Mississippi Office of the State Auditor State Police investigators would love to know more about this.
PLAN A: Illegally skip school board general elections by pretending the entire Lincoln County School board election is out of election rotation, then school board members collude and appoint specific people who would vote yes and do as they are told. That includes voting yes on appointing a specific school administrator as the next superintendent.
Since that failed and board members involved have been ousted, the 'committee' has resorted to Plan B and that plan is happening now.
PLAN B: Gain the favor of people in the community. Use that favoritism among the schools to build a rapport and army of supporters. Not knowing the full truth of past illegal acts [or perhaps they do and choose to ignore], some supporters will assume the plan is legitimate to move schools forward. The Plan B Committee is hoping enough support will be gained where they can use it as a weapon against the new school board members.
During the morning hours of February 7, 2019, Loyd Star principal Robin Case met with this particular school principal. The principal walked onto Loyd Star's campus with a briefcase in hand. We're not sure why Robin Case is meeting with other school principals on her campus instead of a neutral location like the county office. What was in that briefcase? What did they discuss? Did superintendent Mickey Myers know about this colluded meeting? Kind of like the email superintendent Myers didn't get when principal Robin Case scheduled an interview for a new counselor, because she intentionally misspelled Myers' email address so he wouldn't know about it? What a horrible thing to do to your boss!
By now, everyone should know who is trying to become superintendent. It's the same one who 'FORGOT' about two school board elections in 2014 which resulted in an illegal skip in the school board's election cycle. These people will do everything they can to rise to the top. What they have forgotten is the illegal things they have done in the past. Such as using reclaimed wood taken from Loyd Star to furnish the floors of a principal's house.
We think they should be more worried about the accountability score of their school instead of colluding to become Lincoln County's next superintendent.

THREE "D" RATED K12 SCHOOLS ON A DISTRICT ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT CARD IS UNACCEPTABLE IN LINCOLN COUNTY SCHOOLS.
Did you know at least one school in Lincoln County was an "F" rated school before the Mississippi Department of Education increased the accountability scale in October of this year? That's what Lincoln County school board members have not told you and will not tell you. Instead, the U.S. Department of Education will record three "D" rated K-12 schools in Lincoln County for the second consecutive year. Want to know more about this? If you feel like this is unacceptable for the children of Lincoln County, get to the polls Tuesday, November 6th and vote in this MANDATORY SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION that two school board members attempted to illegally skip and appoint themselves.
We will not endorse any candidate on this site, but it is quite clear all teachers, students, parents, and constituents will be affected by the outcome of this school board election. BOGUE CHITTO DISTRICT 3 CANDIDATE NAMES HAVE BEEN RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC!

After school board attorney Jim Keith advised Lincoln County school officials not to release names of potential school board appointment applicants for Bogue Chitto educational district 3 [which is public record], they released them today. Who will the remaining school board members agree upon? The next school board meeting is Monday, October 15th, 2018. The school board has until November 2nd to make a decision.

The Lincoln County School Board now has 60 days from September 10th, to appoint a new board member.
We're not sure why Lincoln County school officials waited until AFTER the election qualification deadline of September 7th to consider a resignation for Lincoln County School Board-Bogue Chitto District 3 Trustee Ricky Welch. That means the school board will, once again, appoint a new member to the board instead of being placed on the election ballot coming this November 2018.
Here is what the law has to say about vacancies on the county school board.
37-5-19. FILLING OF VACANCIES ON BOARD
Vacancies in the membership of the county board of education shall be filled by appointment, within sixty (60) days after the vacancy occurs, by the remaining members of the county board of education. Said appointee shall be selected from the qualified electors of the district in which the vacancy occurs, and shall serve until the first Monday of January next succeeding the next general election, at which general election a member shall be elected to fill the remainder of the unexpired term in the same manner and with the same qualifications applicable to the election of a member for the full term. In the event the school district is under conservatorship and no members of the county board of education remain in office, the Governor shall call a special election to fill the vacancies and said election will be conducted by the county election commission.
In the event the vacancy occurs more than five (5) months prior to the next general election and the remaining members of the county board of education are unable to agree upon an individual to be appointed, any two (2) of the remaining members may certify such disagreement to the county election commission. Upon the receipt of such a certificate by the county election commission, or any member thereof, the commission shall hold a special election to fill the vacancy, which said election, notice thereof and ballot shall be controlled by the laws concerning special elections to fill vacancies in county or county district offices. The person elected at such a special election shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term.
