Good evening Blue Devil Families!
This is your principal, Mrs. Rhyne with information about our upcoming week:

Our first round of Interim Assessments begin this week. ELA classes will take their Interim Assessment on Tuesday and Math classes will take theirs on Friday. Your child’s attendance is important on these days as teachers will use the data from these assessments to adjust their instruction to ensure students reach mastery of the standards taught.

All students are invited to the student-led See You at the Pole national event on Wednesday morning at 7:55 in our front courtyard by the flagpole.

In bus news this week:
Wednesday- No Bus 122 AM and PM
Friday- No Bus 124 AM

In athletics this week:

Our Softball team will be on the road to Holbrook on Monday.
Football will travel to Bessemer City Middle for their game on Wednesday.
Softball returns home for their game against WC Friday Middle on Thursday.

Please remember ticket prices to all athletic events have increased to $7 this year and all schools have a "no bag" policy.
We want to wish all of our athletes and their coaches luck as they compete this week.

• No Bus 122 – AM or PM

• No Bus 124 – AM

**All students that have been assigned a different bus number or drop off time have been notified with a letter. Please ask you child if they received a letter.

📚✨ Today’s mandatory teacher workday was filled with meaningful learning and collaboration as our amazing staff participated in Do Now & Exit Ticket Training!

Our teachers spent the day digging into strategies that help us maximize instructional time, engage students from the moment they walk through the door, and gather meaningful feedback before they leave. 💙

We are so proud of a staff that continues to learn, collaborate, and grow together because we know that when we invest in our teachers, we invest in our students!

Just a reminder! Wednesday, September 16, is a mandated teacher workday for professional development. This is the first of four teacher workdays on Wednesday for professional development that were included in the 2026-2027 school calendar -- the other dates are October 28, February 10, and April 14.

There will be no school for students on Wednesday. We’ll see everyone back at school on Thursday!
