Congratulations to our very own school librarian, Mrs Lane! Mrs Lane was recognized this evening as a recipient of an Amazon Innovative Teaching Grant in partnership with the Stafford Education Foundation.

Her project "Cruising to Success: Creating an Equitable, Active Reading and Research Environment in the Library" will soon bring bicycles to our library so students can pedal while they learn and read!

For a decade, the Stafford Education Foundation has invested in educator-led innovation. This year, Amazon.com’s $560,000 multi-year investment, including $360,000 for Innovative Teaching Grants, is helping us take that work to a new level.

Tonight, we’re seeing what it means to think “Amazon big,” with projects connecting innovation to sustainability, technology, environmental education, and community impact.

The Stafford Education Foundation, Amazon.com, and Stafford County Schools are joining forces to celebrate the first recipients of the Amazon Innovative Teaching Grants!

Thanks to Amazon’s incredible $560,000 investment—with $360,000 dedicated to funding innovative teaching grants over three years—we are announcing $100,000 in grants during this first year alone! Out of more than 90 educator applications, 24 grant recipients are being celebrated, directly impacting nearly 13,000 students across our county.
