A Message From Mary Vien (Joe's Mother)
My sweet boy donned his angel wings this morning. I was first to hold my boy in my arms and put him against my heart so they could beat as one. This morning I held him in my arms and put him against my heart one last time. God thought I was special enough to be his Mom. Little did I know that the title was just a start of something so spectacular. Instead of teaching him, he has taught me so many life lessons. He loved all who came across his path, yearned for acceptance and togetherness, eager always for knowledge, but most of all generous of material things, time and of his heart to all. I will miss you oh so much Baby Bear. Thank you for all of the special memories and gifting me with the title of Mom and Friend. I will never forget the promises you told me to keep this past week. They are in my heart forever as well as you, my sweet baby. I will keep, honor and fulfill them all for you. I will love you forever and see you in heaven. Soar high my sweet angel, soar high.

At the age of 4 Joe developed a brain tumor, at that time he had multiple surgeries & treatments but the tumor was unable to be removed.
Joe learned to live the next 26 years with a shunt in his brain to drain fluid buildup and the occasional complication due to the ever present tumor. He finished his basic education, then went on to study & get a degree in Culinary Arts. Joe has now developed complications that are requiring round the clock care and as you may surmise, this type of care is very expensive. This is why we ask you to
