You don't work the drums, you play them (unless you're Deacon Blues) so laugh off the mistakes.

Mistakes are actual proof you're out of your comfort zone and are progressing.

And when you're progressing, you shouldn't sound good. You'll make mistakes so laugh them off and play a "do-over".

Allow yourself plenty of chances.

Go slow and then even slower. This will give your brain a chance to tell your hands/feet what you want them to do.

It may take awhile so keep going. The time will pass anyway so put it to good use.
