Succeed = Non-degree seekers, Plus = Graduates of Succeed, and Link = UMSL undergraduate certificate and degree seekers. The University of Missouri - St. Louis Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education (UMSL OIPE) welcomes students with a high school diploma and a documented intellectual or developmental disability. We have three programs available for the neurodivergent community: Succeed, Succeed+, and Link. Qualified students may work towards a 2-year Chancellor's Certificate and industry-specific credentials or, if in the Link program, may pursue a certificate or Bachelor's Degree. Our mission is empowerment through education. We collaborate with university and community partners in providing courses, vocational training, and self-determination strategies for all our students. They are fully immersed in university life, with learning accommodations offered as determined. Students have the option to commute or reside within the UMSL campus.

Someone once asked Dolly Parton how long it took to style her big hair, and she said, β€œI don’t know. I’m never there.” 🀣🀣🀣 We spent the first 9/25 Dolly Day at UMSL OIPE Dollyfiying our DIY big hair and snacking on pink cupcakes, pink donuts, and pink cookies. Dolly encouraged everyone to dream big and take action to fulfill those dreams. πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

"I like creating things to help people," says Oksana Murray, a second year student in the UMSL Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education Succeed Program who is the artist behind this video. Using the FlipaClip cartoon animation app, Oksana created a similar clip to promote UMSL eSports this summer. Last semester, another creation helped raise funds for the animal shelter where Oksana frequently volunteers.

Featured in this clip are the OIPE Program Pillars: Live, Learn, Work, and Play. Using vibrant colors and visuals related to each pillar, Oksana showcased the comprehensive supports that enrich the college experience of neurodivergent young adults at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Thank you so much, Oksana, for your initiative. "I'd love to make more videos for the OIPE," she said with a grin.

It may be September, but we're still feeling the scorching summer heat at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. In fact, temps are projected to be in the triple digits this week! πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅ Take care, out there, Tritons!

First year student in the UMSL Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education (OIPE) Kaedin is a meteorology enthusiast who may have a future in media (we didn't even need a script for this video-- his spiel was impromptu! Watch out weather broadcasters 😎 ) But seriously, y'all... stay cool, keep hydrated, and put on sunblock.
