Linda McPherson awarded Fiona the Flamingo to Bob Kane for his efforts in recruiting new members. Kurt Bahr then updated on St Charles County ballot issues for the April, August, and November elections.

Roger Bequette, our club's newest Rotarian, briefed us on Alzheimer's disease, the resources available to caregivers, and how Rotary fits into the Alzheimer's Association on a national level.

Rotary's Family Day celebration included a presentation by Amy Haake, Archivist of the St. Charles County Historical Society, highlighting important buildings on South Main Street that shaped St Charles' history.

Today's meeting highlighted the St Charles City-County Library Foundation & Friends. Thank you, Jennifer, for the information about your Book Fair and other upcoming events.

Today's meeting featured several highlights: induction of a new member, recognition with the Paul Harris award, and insight into Nigeria, possibly for a global project.

Today's speaker, Kevin Ahlbrand, is a respected police officer and detective who, after retirement, now serves on the board of Backstoppers; appreciation is extended to Bob Kane for facilitating Kevin's introduction.
