Here’s something that absolutely stopped me in my tracks…
The life of Moses isn’t just a story from the past — it quietly lays out the timeline of history itself. Bo***ge, deliverance, wilderness, rest. It’s all there.

And then this detail hit me:
Joshua brought Israel into the Promised Land on the 10th of Nisan (Joshua 4:19). In the same way, Yeshua (Jesus) — whose very name is Joshua (which means "the Lord is Salvation")— will also bring His people into their true Sabbath rest on the 10th of Nisan (Hebrews 4:8).

Moses shows us the pattern.
Joshua acts it out.
Jesus fulfills it.

History isn’t random. God’s been telling the same story all along — and we’re closer to the sabbath day of rest than we realize.

Passover has come and right about now, Jesus would have been betrayed by Judas and arrested in the garden of Gethsemane. For the next several hours and throughout the night, he was taken to and questioned at Annas' house, then taken to Caiaphas' house and questioned there. Then, Peter denied Jesus three times just before dawn. Then, in the morning he is taken before the entire council of the Sanhedrin, then to Pilate, then to Herod and again back to Pilate. After which, he is tried, flogged, and forced to carry his cross to Golgotha. They nailed him to the cross at 9:00am. By noon on Wednesday, darkness covered the entire land AND JUST AS GOD CREATED THE SUN ON THE 4TH DAY OF THE WEEK, JESUS, THE SON OF GOD (WHO IS REFERRED TO AS THE GREATER LIGHT IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN) WAS CRUCIFIED ON THE 4TH DAY OF THE WEEK. WHILE JESUS WAS DYING ON THE CROSS WITH THE SINS OF THE ENTIRE WORLD PLACED UPON HIM, THE SUN WENT BLACK UNTIL HE WAS DEAD. Quickly thereafter, he was taken down and buried in a tomb before sundown (as that would begin the new day and the Feast of Unleavened Bread - a high sabbath day). Now, we will begin our count of 3 days and 3 nights until Jesus' resurrection!
