PBS Power Nine educators spent time in Old North Academy classrooms, working directly with kindergarten through second-grade scholars during their WIN periods. Educators read Our Table by Peter H. Reynolds, then helped students bring the story to life by creating their own tables.

An exciting assembly at Old North Academy! 💜⚾

Our scholars received a special visit from Walker’s Winners, including St. Louis Cardinals outfielder and co-founder Jordan Walker and co-founder and Executive Director Katrina M. Walker!

Through our partnership with Walker’s Winners, students are encouraged and supported as they set reading and math goals that inspire them to keep reaching higher.

During the assembly, students put their skills to the test with a Jeopardy game featuring math and ELA questions, while also learning about stretch goals and what it takes to become a “goal getter.” 🎯📚
We’re grateful for Walker’s Winners’ continued commitment to our scholars and were especially excited to welcome Jordan to Old North to share an inspiring message about hard work, setting goals, and striving to reach and exceed them! Confluence Academies

What a great way to kick off the school year at Old North Academy! 💜

Our Family Orientation and Dinner brought students, families, and teachers together to connect, review classroom expectations, and get excited for the year ahead.

We wrapped up the evening with dinner from Home Works and visits with amazing community partners like The Village, PBS KIDS, River City Outdoors, and Missouri State Parks. A wonderful night of connection and community as we start another great year at Old North! 📚
