Today was Rally Day Sunday at Immanuel! Our 1st-4th graders opened worship with a joyful song, while our 3rd graders received a Bible and 6th graders were given a catechism. It was wonderful to have our families share in the blessing of these gifts. After, Sunday School and Bible classes began. We pray learning and growing in God’s Word will strengthen the faith of all.

This past week, Fox 2 News visited Immanuel to shoot a commercial for LESA. We are so thankful for the opportunity to partner with LESA for this project to support Lutheran education and look forward to the final product. Our students and teachers were amazing as we got to see all the learning taking place. In addition, we were invited to be a part of Fox 2’s ‘Wake Up St. Louis!’ addition that will air periodically on their channel. Be on the lookout! Way to SHINE for Jesus, Eagles! 🦅

Service learning is an important part of our education. When students are encouraged to care for others, they naturally grow and develop themselves. By stepping outside the classroom to help the community, we gain valuable life skills and a deeper understanding of the world around us. Be on the lookout for our students, just like these awesome 2nd graders, using their time to serve at Immanuel and beyond!

Today’s chapel message focused on Christ as our Firm Foundation. Using LEGOs, Vicar Stewart built structures that showed us just how important a strong foundation is.

In the same way, God’s Word teaches us to build our lives on the one foundation that will never fail—Jesus Christ!

Thank you, Vicar Stewart, for helping us learn this important lesson in such a fun and memorable way!

Our 6th graders were engaged in some hands-on learning as they continue their studies of Ancient Mesopotamia. They used a stylus and play-dough to write in the ancient language of Cuneiform!

Rally Day is NEXT Sunday! We look forward to a special 8 a.m. worship service as our 1st-4th graders sing, our 3rd graders receive Bibles, and the 6th graders will be given Luther’s Small Catechism. After the service, Sunday School and Confirmation begin! ALL are welcome.

For Patriot Day, our students wore red, white and blue to show honor and remember the fallen on 9/11. Classes prayed, read books, sang songs, created artwork, recited pledges and had meaningful discussions with their classmates and teachers. It was a good day to remember.

This week, we kicked off our Faith Family Chapel! Faith Families are made up of teachers and staff alongside mixed-age groups of students. Our 8th and 2nd graders led the message as we focused on God’s grace—a gift He freely gives us even though we do not deserve it. We love this special time together in God’s Word as we learn, grow, and draw closer to Him!
