We exceeded our goal for our fundraising campaign! Rutgers Alpha Delt was able to raise over $2,000 for Stop Soldier Su***de with collaboration from our undergraduate and alumni brothers. Stop Soldier Su***de aims to match veterans with mental and emotional support services in an endeavor to reduce the su***de rate among veterans. The effort our brothers put forward these past few weeks in raising funds for a cause that is near and dear to all of our hearts has been truly rewarding!

Two fundraisers = two times the energy and drive! Brothers from our British Columbia chapter are also raising funds for veterans and putting the spot-light on su***de awareness by choosing to do push-ups as part of their 22 Day Challenge. While individual creativity is always encouraged, Alpha Delts have found that team effort often produces the best results. These experiences empower us with a passion that centers upon the premise that we can make a difference in someone’s life by raising awareness, making financial contributions, or forming relationships directly with our beneficiaries. We serve more people than just our members

As we approach Veterans Day this Wednesday, our undergraduates and alumni will be raising money for Stop Soldier Su***de. We have lost too many of our brothers and sisters in arms — people we lived and served alongside and counted as family. Our promise is this: we will not stand by while our friends are in crisis. We will rally together as allies, as family, as a community to do everything in our power to change the data on veteran su***de.
