Saint Louis Public Schools is seeing strong momentum in literacy growth across our schools through a more unified approach to foundational reading instruction.

By implementing consistent, research based literacy practices and investing in ongoing support for educators, SLPS schools are creating stronger learning experiences for students across every grade level.

Highlights from the district’s literacy pilot schools include:

✅ Growth in ELA achievement across every pilot school
✅ Fewer students needing intensive reading intervention
✅ Increased teacher confidence and instructional consistency
✅ Stronger support systems for students across all learning environments

This work reflects the dedication of our educators, school leaders, and students who continue building brighter futures through literacy and learning.

At SLPS, we remain committed to ensuring every student has access to the tools and support they need to become confident, capable readers.

State Champions! 🏆

The students of Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience delivered an unforgettable performance at the Missouri Class 3A State Track and Field Championship.

The boys team captured the State Championship in the 4x800 meter relay with an outstanding performance by Clyve Jackson-Cameron, Evan Moll, Melik Pratt, and Owen Garrett. Owen Garrett also earned an individual State Championship title with a 1st place finish in the 800 meter race.

Collegiate continued to shine with two 2nd place finishes from Maxwell McFarlane in both the triple jump and long jump.

The team finished the meet as the overall Class 3A Boys State Champions, earning more points than any other school in the competition.
