Facebook Comment Guidelines, Confluence Charter Schools
Confluence Charter Schools has guidelines for comments on its school pages. Confluence welcomes comments from students, alumni, parents and community members. Our pages represent our mission, vision and our core values of Wisdom, Justice, Courage, Compassion, Hope, Respect, Responsibility and Integrity. To keep conversation
s focused on school news and events, the Confluence Charter Schools’ pages – Old North, South City, Walnut Park, Confluence Preparatory Academy and Grand Center Arts Academy – are reviewed every day by the communications/public relations department. We ask that you are respectful and responsible when you make a comment. Any comments or posts that are deemed inappropriate, off-topic or unrelated to Confluence Charter Schools will be removed. Comments that will be removed include, but are not limited to:
• Personal attacks
• Off-topic posts
• Comments focused on selling a product or service, SPAM
• Comments about a specific student or staff member. Facebook is not the place for comments about issues with specific staff or students. If you have an issue you would like addressed, please contact your child’s school principal or the Confluence Resource Office.
• Illegal posts – Laws that govern the use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc. will be followed.
• Language – Language that is, but not limited to, seen as offensive, profane or provocative, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory, threatening, obscene or sexually explicit will be deleted.
• Links to outside websites – We will not allow fans to include links to websites for any purpose. Confluence Charter Schools will block fans from its pages for two or more violations of the guidelines. Posting Pictures to Confluence pages
To protect the integrity and safety of our students, Confluence Charter Schools will not allow fans to post pictures to its school pages. The pictures posted on the pages will be taken by Confluence administrators and/or staff, following the guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law. Pictures of students on Facebook will not include full names, but may include captions that highlight the event or activity.

From donating running shoes, uniforms, and team equipment to connecting our student-athletes with the St. Louis running community and local college programs, Mark’s impact goes far beyond the finish line. He has consistently shown up for our students—offering encouragement, opportunities, and support every step of the way.

Big news for our CPA Titan Cheerleaders! 💙💛 They were recently invited to join Blair Ledet TV and Mike Colombo from Fox2Now for an In Your Neighborhood segment at Live by Loews - St. Louis, Missouri. Our College & Career Counselor, Dr. Cierra Wourman , took part in the interview, and our Titans lit up the space with a full routine on camera.

A special shoutout to JayVonte Hughes, a senior here at CPA! 🎉
He’s ranked in the top ten of his graduating class, serves as President of NHS (National Honors Society), and is a FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) leader. As a varsity athlete in Cross Country and Track & Field, he excels both academically and athletically.
JayVonte has been accepted to Morehouse College this fall to study biology, with aspirations of attending medical school to become a pediatric surgeon. 📣 🌟
