CharacterPlus recently joined nearly 700 educators and leaders at the Harmony Public Schools Leadership Summit in Houston, Texas.

Under the theme 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚, 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩, the summit focused on leadership, student success, and building strong school culture and climate.

CharacterPlus facilitated sessions exploring motivation, belonging and trust, effective communication, and how leaders can strengthen their own leadership while empowering others.

This month, Orchard Farm School District’s emerging leaders gathered for Session 3 of cLEAD, focusing on what it takes to create the conditions for flourishing.

Participants explored the power of belonging, the role of trust in effective leadership, and how empathy helps us connect with others more deeply. Through reflection, conversation, and hands-on experiences, they gained fresh insight into themselves and their teams.

A great reminder that 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀.

Last month, CharacterPlus spent two days with the leadership team at Santa Fe South Schools for a leadership retreat focused on reflection, connection, and looking ahead.

Leaders explored the strengths that have shaped Santa Fe South over its 𝟮𝟱-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, reflected on the conditions that help people and organizations flourish, and began identifying the core values that will guide the district’s next chapter.

The retreat was an important step in Santa Fe South’s three-year partnership with CharacterPlus, helping build a strong foundation for character development and a positive school culture and climate across the district.

We’re grateful to partner with a leadership team so committed to creating an environment where students and adults can grow, connect, and thrive.

The 2026-27 Kansas City TACE cohort begins in September and includes five sessions focused on practical strategies for building positive classroom communities and supporting student growth.

CharacterPlus is excited to begin a year-long partnership with Aptus org, an educational service organization that supports schools throughout Chile. Members of the CharacterPlus team first connected with APTUS leaders through the PRIMED Institute and the Character Education Leadership (CEEL) experience, where a shared commitment to character-centered leadership and human flourishing sparked a lasting relationship.

Over the past several years, our organizations have worked together to thoughtfully design a professional coaching model that will build the leadership capacity of APTUS and equip its team to lead character development across its network of partner schools. This partnership reflects a shared belief that lasting change begins by developing leaders who create the conditions for students, educators, and school communities to flourish.
