From the first day of school to final exams! 🔄

You may remember Superintendent Dr. Melissa Schneider greeting students and staff last fall as she kicked off her own "year one" in a brand-new environment.

Dr. Schneider reconnected with freshman Zainab Bilal to hear all about her first year. at South High. From stepping out of her comfort zone and joining several clubs, Zainab has thrived, living up to Parkway’s mission as a capable, curious, caring, and confident learner.

A week filled with pomp, circumstance, and so much Parkway pride from five graduation ceremonies! 🎓🎓🎓🎓🎓

Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Meet Central High senior Serena Huang. While she has an impressive list of honors (see below 👀), Serena considers her biggest accomplishment to date to be building a community and helping her peers succeed as chapter president of FBLA.

Serena’s journey has been defined by leadership, resilience, and intellectual curiosity that, as one of her instructors noted, constantly reminds us of “just how fun learning can be.”

As she prepares to head to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to major in Artificial Intelligence + Decision Making, here is a small snapshot of Serena’s successes:

• Perfect ACT, National Merit Scholar, US Presidential Scholars Semifinalist
• NASA Aerospace Research Intern, NCWIT Aspirations in Computing National Award, and co-founder of Bubbly Studios (w/ 10+ mobile apps/websites developed)
• All-state and state champion swimmer, 3x FBLA state champion, and instrumental in raising $24,000 for Dance Marathon

Hats off to Serena and the Central High Class of 2026 as they close out graduation week this evening at Family Arena. 🎓

He might be the "quiet voice” in the locker room and on the pool deck, but when he does say something, his teammates listen. 🗣️

Between rewriting the record books as the best breaststroker in school history and shadowing at local hospitals through the Spark! Pre-Professional Health Sciences strand, North High senior Kane Powell has become a confident leader.

We can't wait to see the doors Kane opens next. This fall, he will be heading to Grand Valley State University to major in Health Sciences.

Join us in celebrating Kane and the North High Class of 2026! 🎓

“He just wants to do what interests him and grab onto that joy, grabbing onto the thing that lights a fire under you, even if it’s vastly different and doesn’t exist in the same world.”

Meet Ryan Shabani, a senior at West High, who has never hesitated to get involved and inspire those around him to do the same. His long list of activities included volleyball, orchestra, speech and debate, Spanish Club, Diplomacy Club, and HOSA Future Health Professionals.

As Ryan prepares for the next chapter of his joruney, he plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Louis University, with a minor in Bioethics. 🔬

Join us in celebrating Ryan and the Longhorns' Class of 2026! 🎓
