What I Provide
🎯 Authenticity — Admissions officers want to hear the student’s real voice. My coaching preserves natural teenage language while helping students communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
🪞 Self-awareness — Strong essays reveal how a student thinks, reflects, and grows. I help students move beyond simply describing what happened and uncover why the experience mattered.
✨ A distinctive perspective — Admissions officers read thousands of essays. I help students identify the specific details, observations, and insights that make their story feel personal rather than predictable.
❤️ Character and values — The best essays reveal qualities such as curiosity, resilience, empathy, humility, independence, and intellectual growth. I help students recognize where those qualities naturally emerge from their own experiences.
💭 Depth of reflection — A memorable essay does more than recount an event. Through thoughtful questioning, I help students examine assumptions, decisions, challenges, and moments of change more deeply.
🧩 A clear narrative — Strong essays have focus and direction. I help students find the central idea within a broad or unfocused draft and shape it into a cohesive story with purpose.
✍️ Memorable openings and conclusions — I help students create openings that draw the reader in and conclusions that leave admissions officers with a clear sense of who the student has become.
📝 Strong editing without overediting — I know what to develop, what to cut, and when a simple sentence is more powerful left alone. The goal is refinement, not rewriting the student into someone they are not.
🌟 A sense of the person behind the application — Grades, scores, and activities tell only part of the story. My goal is to help each student write an essay that gives admissions officers a genuine and memorable understanding of the person behind those numbers.
