Here is the sneak peek as promised! 🥳
“And Then Came Matrescence” was created once I started to ask “How can I help my clients build up a positive birth mindset that will serve them during pregnancy and postpartum?” 💖
As a Doula, I offer a wide variety of support for my clients. Educational support during pregnancy in our prenatal appointments. Physical and emotional support during labor as well as postpartum! 💕
But as important as Doula support is, the real wins I see with clients don’t come from me! They come when clients are able to move through labor feeling strong to advocate for themselves and when plans change and mamas are empowered to make informed decisions. 🤩🤩🤩
This is the goal with this pregnancy journal: to help you feel confident as you head into your labor experience and to cultivate a space for bonding with baby that you can save as you reflect afterwards. 🥰

Sometimes I feel like I’m filling out the conversational twin parent bingo card 🤣If I’m being 100% honest though- it’s kinda fun! 🤭 Being out and about has been really important for my mental health postpartum and I love chatting it up with people in our community! I’ve heard some really sweet stories this way 💕What have been your favorite grocery store twin questions or conversations? Comment below!!

This word was in my vocabulary before I became a mom, but it really only gained significance when I needed a way to explain the deep change I was seeing in myself. ❤️ 🙋🏻♀️
Our culture loves to focus on “bouncing back” after baby as though adding a child to the family was just a singular event. Monday- attend quarterly meeting ✅Tuesday- become a mom ✅
But the term matrescence covers so much more! It is the time in preparing for baby, welcoming your baby, and all of the growth that happens afterward.
The truth is, I won’t be (and don’t plan on) “bouncing back” to the person I was before. 🤷🏻♀️
The way I move through the world is different now (and requires much more strategic planning 😉). My eyes are constantly being opened to different aspects of life they hadn’t been before. Learning and growing with my children means constant problem solving and intentionally prioritizing. 🌱 How amazing! 🤩
I have some pretty incredible resources coming out in the next few weeks- and I am so excited to share them with you soon! 🥳 One of which will be a super helpful introspective tool to the beginning of the matrescence. 🥳 🎉
Comment below: what has been your favorite part of the matrescence period? 💭
