Making Space with Lily

Making Space with Lily Saint Louis, MO Professional Organizer helping you make space to live your life!

I’m a mother of energetic boys, so I’m well versed with how difficult it is to keep everything in its place and in one piece. I don’t waste time and don’t underestimate the expectations of the organizing process. Every space calls for unique ideas and methods to prevent organization from becoming an evolving daily chore, and I am committed to the budgeted timeframe, meticulously detailed and work tirelessly to find the right arrangement for every nook and cranny. I've touched everything from garages to kitchens, playrooms to closets - if making space is on your list this year, I'm the right partner!

JUST GET RID OF IT! — WEEK 5 🧸👟

How did Week 4 go? 🧣👜

Hopefully you were able to make some progress on those accessories and get your seasonal wardrobe switched over. And remember, if you didn't finish everything, that's okay! You can always come back to it.

Now we're moving on to WEEK 5: KIDS! 👧🧒

If you don't have kids… lucky you! 😉 You've got an extra week to catch up on clothing and accessories, or tackle another area that's been bothering you.

But if you do have kids, this week might feel a little more challenging. Kids accumulate SO. MUCH. STUFF. And somehow it seems to multiply overnight! 😂

The key this week? START SMALL.

You don't have to conquer the entire playroom or every bin of hand-me-downs. Pick one small category, set your timer for 10 minutes, and just get started.

And if you find yourself staring at a pile of school artwork thinking, “I can't possibly get rid of this!” I get it. I will for sure be talking about some ways to make those decisions easier.

Stick with it! By next week, you'll be glad you did.

And don't forget to TAG while you're participating! Every tag gives you a chance to win 2 HOURS OF FREE ORGANIZING SERVICES WITH ME! 🎉

10 minutes. One category. One less pile of stuff.

JUST GET RID OF IT! — WEEK 4 🧣👜

How did the clothing challenge go? 👚👖

For some, clothing is a no-brainer—you can fill a donation bag in no time. For others, it can be one of the hardest categories to tackle. There are memories, “just in case” pieces, and clothes we really want to fit into again.

However it went for you, progress is progress! 🙌

Now that the cooler weather is finally starting to arrive, it’s the perfect time to move on to ACCESSORIES! 🧣👜👟

As you switch out your wardrobe for the season, take a few extra minutes to go through those accessories and cooler-weather layers.

And while you're at it, pack away those summer essentials. Before putting them into storage, ask yourself:

Did I actually wear this this summer?
Will I realistically wear it next summer?
Would I buy this again today?

If the answer is no… JUST GET RID OF IT! 😉

And don't forget to TAG as you work through the challenge! 📸 Every tag gives you a chance to win 2 HOURS OF FREE ORGANIZING SERVICES WITH ME! 🎉

Ten minutes at a time. One category at a time. Less stuff. More space. No overwhelm.

Who’s ready to tackle the accessories?! 👇

JUST GET RID OF IT! — WEEK 3 👕👖
How did Week 2 go?! 🛁📚
Did you clear off the bathroom counter? Find some products that had definitely expired? Finally let go of a few books you’ve been holding onto “just in case”?
Whatever you accomplished, celebrate it! Remember: this challenge is about progress, not perfection. Even 10 minutes makes a difference!

And now we’re moving on to a category that can be very easy for some people and VERY hard for others… CLOTHES. 👚👖
This week, we’re taking it one category at a time.

Some of these may be total no-brainers. Others might make you pause and think, “But what if I need this someday?” 😂
My advice? Start with the easy wins. Build some momentum, and then tackle the harder categories when you’re ready.
Set your timer for 10 minutes, pick ONE category, and...

Nobody’s perfect. Shocking, I know! But while that may not be a revolutionary idea, it does mean that everyone has at least a little room for self-improvement. I always strive to find ways to be a little better, so a few months ago, when I was offered the chance to join a summer accountability gro...

IT’S TIME TO JUST GET RID OF IT!

Are you ready to make a little more space in your home—and your life?

Today kicks off my 75-Day Decluttering Challenge!

The concept is simple: 10 minutes a day for 75 days. That’s it!

No spending hours organizing.
No pulling everything out of your closet.
No creating a giant donation pile that sits in your garage for three months. 😂

Just 10 focused minutes to get rid of things you no longer need, use, or love.

Here’s how it works:

⏱️ Set a timer for 10 minutes.
🗑️ Declutter—don't organize what you don't need.
🚗 If something can leave your house today, let it leave!
💚 Focus on progress, not perfection.
🙌 Miss a day? No guilt. Just pick back up where you left off.

Week 1 is all about the QUICK WINS, with seven small areas to tackle—including your junk drawer, kitchen counter, junk mail pile, expired coupons, takeout menus, everyday purse/bag, and car console.

And because a little accountability never hurts… 😉

TAG ME as you complete each day's challenge! Every tag = one entry to win 2 FREE HOURS of professional organizing services at the end of the challenge!

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that making space isn’t just about organizing your home. It’s also about organizing your life.

Every summer, I intentionally slow down. I spend more time with my boys, say yes to pool days, ice cream runs, and as much travel as we can fit in. I try not to rush through a season that goes by way too fast.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love helping my clients create homes they love, but I’ve realized I can do that even better when I’ve taken time to recharge.

This is your reminder that it’s okay to leave a few things unchecked on the to-do list. The laundry will wait. Summer won’t. How are you making space for what matters most this season?
