Earlier this week, Youth In Need staff and partners completed a two-day Parent Café Training Institute, facilitated by Roxeanna Steiner from LUME Institute and Sam Blue from Vision for Children at Risk

This certification empowers Youth In Need programs—and parents themselves—to lead Parent Cafés, creating spaces designed to strengthen families and keep children safe by building protective factors from the inside out.

Parent Cafés offer a safe, nurturing environment where parents and caregivers engage in deep, authentic and reflective conversations that strengthen both families and communities. Through this process, parents are encouraged to reflect on the kind of parents they want to be while supporting the growth and well-being of every family member—not just children.

Emily and Katie marched in the opening parade! 🇺🇸 We love spending time with our Head Start friends from near and far. 🖍️🏫📚

At the National Head Start Association Parent and Family Engagement conference, we are committed to fostering the growth of the little “acorns” in our care into towering oak trees! 🌳 We are learning from the best of the best and excited to bring that knowledge back to Youth In Need.

We are so thankful to Santa's Helpers, Inc. for adopting 23 Youth In Need families from across the region to provide holiday gifts 🎁 and personal care items for the holidays. We love delivery day! 🥰

253 Youth In Need families received a Thanksgiving meal from No Hunger Holiday this year! We are all feeling extremely grateful. 🦃 We hit a snag with a stuck tire and the rest of our cars were packed to the gills with as many boxes as we could fit, but we did it! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. 🥰
