⚡ Plug in and power up! now has electric vehicle charging stations on campus.
In partnership with City Water, Light and Power (CWLP), four EV charging ports have been installed in Lot I North near TRAC. Each Level 2 charger can deliver 25–35 miles of range per hour, making it easier for students, faculty, staff and visitors to stay charged while on campus.

students and staff spent the past week on a service trip to Guatemala, helping build a home for a family in the village of Pastores.
This marks UIS’ second home build and the 266th completed through ImagininGuatemala. The experience provided students with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while learning about global communities and service.
Like many hardworking families, a steady income can still be a challenge in Guatemala. This new home offers stability and a foundation for the future.
