Tim will join The St. James Performance Academy as Head of School, providing leadership and oversight of our academic program.

With nearly 30 years of independent school leadership experience, including senior roles at The Bullis School, Tim brings a strong commitment to student-centered education, meaningful family partnerships, and building systems that support both academic excellence and personal growth.

His expertise spans academics, enrollment, student life, athletics, faculty leadership, and school operations — experience that aligns seamlessly with the Academy’s integrated academic and athletic model.

We’re excited to welcome Tim to our community and look forward to sharing opportunities for families to meet him soon. 💫

✨ Introducing Samantha Caruth, Director of Recruiting & Enrollment ✨

Samantha brings a wealth of experience to The St. James Performance Academy, having led admissions efforts at independent schools, directed scholarship programs for families, expanded recruitment and retention of educators of color, and supported students through classroom teaching and university-level career advising.

With a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University and a B.S. from Georgetown University, Samantha is passionate about building strong, inclusive pathways for students and families.
