January brought super cold weather but that didn’t stop us from having fun

October was so much fun. The children got into the rhythm of our schedule and we celebrated with a huge Halloween party on the weekend

Haven’t updated in a while but we have been having so much fun making new friends, playing and learning

August/September:

Water play days, scavenger hunts, a visit from Spider-Man’s

Along with using a State approved Curriculum (Early Learning Matters) we also work on skills beyond the curriculum. Like riding trikes and balance bikes, learning what happens when you mix two colors, building fine motor skills through coloring and cutting, along with art appreciation by learning about different artist and art genres, practicing our climbing skills until we get it, and when it rains and we can’t go out building an obstacle course indoors ( gross motor skills, along with working on taking turns )

Our Mother’s Day Craft for all are beautiful moms.

Our curriculum is easily adapted to each child’s need, in math practice number recognition and counting in a variety of fun ways. We have the children broken up into small groups and pairings . Below we have our young group who played a fishing number recognition game, worked on creating patterns, one to one correspondence between the numeral and quantity and worked on basic adding (what is one more than…)and subtraction ( what is one less than…).

A fun Pete the Cat Math activity which fostered following the story and acting it out, understanding what happens when we take away and count back. We also went to Hidden Pond for a fun field trip and picnic lunch
