CACC Preschool

Preschool will be postponed until after the first nine weeks of school. Then we will revisit in- class learning. More information will be posted when it becomes available. Thank you for your patience!

There is still no information on when or if preschool will be in session this fall. I will post more when the information is available. Please be patient. Thank you!

Your preschooler's items are ready for pickup at CACC. They include their journals, clothing and some art they may have done. Call the school at 217-529-5431 or email our principal Mr. Aymer at [email protected] to make arrangements. I hope everyone received their certificates and medals. Have a wonderful summer!

Governor Pritzker has just announced that schools will be closed for the rest of the school year. If you would like some help talking to your child about this unprecedented situation we find ourselves in, isbe.net/mental health may be of assistance. Look for Coronavirus (COVID-19) How to talk to your child. I will post more information soon. Let me know if you have any questions. It may take some time for an answer, as I may have to talk to the CACC administrators first. Take care.

As Easter approaches I wanted to wish all of you a healthy, safe, Easter holiday! I also wanted to give you some great websites that might help you keep the boredom at bay somewhat. There is always Pinterest, but Preschool-plan-it.com, Prekinders.com, Everything Preschool.com and Childcareland.com are great sources as well. Childcareland offers some free printables. Those plastic eggs come in handy for games and learning opportunities. Write some questions on a small paper and place in the eggs. Hide them, and whatever question that is in their eggs they have to answer. Some examples might be: what does an illustrator do, is a dolphin a mammal or fish, how many letters are in your name. You could also write uppercase letters on one part of the egg and the lowercase on the other and have them match the correct letters. Can you tell I miss being in the classroom? :) If there is any way I can assist you, please let me know. Tell your preschooler I think of them daily. Again Happy Easter! Ms. April

Late Breaking News..... In order to keep our preschool families safe during the Coronavirus Outbreak, the CACC School Board has made the decision to CANCEL PRESCHOOL effective immediately until Monday, April 20th. We DO NOT have any known cases. We are simply being cautious. Stay healthy!

There will be no preschool on Monday, March 2, 2020 in observance of Casimir Pulaski day. See everyone back on Tuesday, March 3. Enjoy your long weekend!
