Route 66 Series

Seligman is a marvelous and historic Route 66 town, its proprietors of the local restaurants and gift shops are friendly.

In 1987 Seligman gained its name "Birthplace of Historic Route 66" due to the efforts of Seligman residents, who convinced the State of Arizona to dedicate Route 66 a historic highway.

We spent the night in Seligman on our way to the Grand Canyon.

The iconic Jack Rabbit Trading Post dating back to 1949, has cemented its place as an important piece of Americana for generations. We stopped for a much needed rest, checked out the curios, and had a cold drink before heading across Arizona.
