Please help us welcome Denise Harlan to the Parson Hills faculty!

Denise will be serving as an Instructional Aide in our CBI classroom. She brings many years of experience in Special Education and has a deep passion for supporting students with disabilities. She is committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a positive and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Denise and her husband, Jason, have a stepson with autism, and her personal and professional experience have shaped her compassion, patience, and understanding for the students and families she serves.

Outside of school, Denise enjoys fishing, hunting, and bowling. She has also been involved with Special Olympics and loves celebrating the achievements of athletes of all abilities.

My name is Brian Hyde, and I am excited to join the team of excellent teachers and staff at Parson Hills Elementary! I have been in education for 27 years with the opportunity to teach in 7 different schools across 2 states. As a mother of two, I know firsthand how public education can shape and empower our kids. I value the partnership between schools and families to help all students reach their full potential, and I cannot wait to meet you and your children.

As I join the Parson Hills team as an instructional facilitator, I look forward to working alongside our families, our teachers, and staff to provide every student with a school year full of meaningful learning and great memories. It’s a privilege to be part of the Parson Hills community and to partner with you in your child’s education.

We are excited to introduce Yareli Cecilio, who will be joining Parson Hills Elementary this fall as a student teacher in Kindergarten!

Yareli is currently completing her education degree at John Brown University and will spend the semester learning, serving, and growing alongside our students and staff. She is especially excited to work with our Kindergarten students and support the wonderful families of Parson Hills.

Anna Landreth is a John Brown University resident who will be completing her residency with us this year. Originally from Northwest Arkansas, Anna is passionate about helping students learn, grow, and build confidence in the classroom.

We are thrilled to have Anna join our team and know she will be a great addition to Parson Hills. If you see her around campus, be sure to give her a warm welcome!

☀️ Free Summer Meals for Kids! ☀️

We are so excited to help our stay healthy and fueled up this break! Springdale Public Schools is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Seamless Summer Option program to serve meals free of charge to all children 18 and younger. Note: Children do not need to be students of Springdale Public Schools to participate.

Parson Hills Families, you’re invited!

Join us for a free Summer Cookout hosted by the Springdale FOP Foundation.

Date: Monday, June 8
Time: 4:00 to 7:00 PM
Location: Parson Hills Elementary School

Kids eat free, and each child will also receive a free book through the BookMobile partnership.

This will be a fun evening for families to come together, enjoy dinner, connect with others, and kick off summer.

Congratulations to our 5th Grade students for winning the May Attendance Challenge with outstanding attendance all month long! 🎉 To celebrate their hard work and commitment to being at school each day, all 5th graders enjoyed popsicles as their reward! 🍦☀️

A special shoutout goes to Ms. Rhyne’s class for having the BEST attendance in the entire school during May! 🏆 As their class reward, the students got to cover Ms. Rhyne in tattoos — and they definitely made the most of it! 😂⭐
