🌿🪴Syngonium Red Spot Tricolor 🌱is a highly sought-after and visually striking houseplant that has captivated the rare plant community. Known for its remarkable tri-colored variegation, green, cream, and pink.

The genus Syngonium is a climbing vine using aerial roots to reach several meters height. It’s is advisable to use poles to grow them if you opt his way.

What sets the ‘Red Spot Tricolor’ apart from other Syngonium varieties is its complex and unpredictable variegation. As the name suggests, a single leaf can display up to three distinct colors:
The pattern and intensity of the colors can vary wildly, making each plant a unique living artwork. Plant collectors highly value this variety for its rarity and the dynamic visual interest.

Comprehensive Care Guide
Light Requirements
The plant requires bright, indirect light.
A south or west-facing window is ideal.
Avoid Too Little Light & Too Much Light: Direct, harsh sunlight will scorch the delicate variegated sections of the leaves, causing brown, crispy edges.

Watering Strategy
Syngoniums prefer not too wet & not too dry. The soil should be kept consistently slightly moist but never waterlogged.

Soil and Potting
To prevent root rot, a well-draining, chunky aroid mix is advised.

Temperature and Humidity
As a tropical plant, the ‘Red Spot Tricolor’ thrives in warm, humid environments.

• Temperature between 65°F and 80°F (18°C - 27°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden temperature drops below 60°F (15°C).
• Humidity: Aim for humidity levels between 50% and 70%. Use a humidifier or a pebble tray to boost ambient moisture.

Fertilization
Feed the plant with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer diluted to half-strength once a month during the active growing season. Avoid fertilizing in the winter when growth naturally slows down.

Air Purification
Like many plants in the Araceae family, Syngonium podophyllum is recognized for its air-purifying qualities. Syngonium species can help filter indoor air pollutants.

Toxicity Warning
All parts of a Syngonium podophyllum plant, including the ‘Red Spot Tricolor’, are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The sap can also cause skin irritation. It should be kept well out of reach of curious cats, dogs, and small children.
