Michelle Bonczek Hernando County school Board district 4 Bachelors Degree in Psychology from GCU, A Masters Degree in Education Law from NSU. Together we have raised a blended family of 7 children.

I was a previous permanent substitute teacher at Deltona and Explorer k-8. I was born in New Port Richey Florida, but Hernando County has been my home for 43 years, I have a
Bachelor’s degree in psychology from GCU, and a master’s degree in Education Law from NSU. I have been with my loving husband 31 years and married 28 of those years. Our blended family include his daughter, our triplet sons, a bonus son which is our son’s best friend that came home from school and stayed. Which I am thankful to his parents to allow us to love him as our own and be a big part of his success as an adult. Then our family adopted 2 more children. We are now also proud grandparents. One of our triplets has always been disabled medically complex requiring me to always need a flexible schedule to be available to him. I previously worked as a permanent substitute teacher at Deltona Elementary and Explorer K-8. For over 30 years I have been involved in the school system in some capacity as a student, parent, or substitute teacher. After leaving the district I worked as a paralegal/ office manager for an attorney here in Hernando County. Although I have been retired for 7 years, I have remained active in our school district as a parent.

My heart is absolutely broken for the family who lost their child in today’s tragic school bus accident. Prayers for the other person and family that also lost a loved one today.

There are simply no words that can take away the unimaginable pain of losing a child. As a mother, my heart aches for this family and for everyone who loved this child.

Praying for the students, families, bus drivers, school staff, first responders, and everyone in the Polk county school community who has been impacted by this tragedy.

Tonight, please keep this child’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they face a loss no family should ever have to endure.
